July 2006
Gardenton Ukrainian Festival

Hoosli perfored once again at the Ukrainian festival in Gardenton. Close to Winnipeg (70 miles southeast) and in its 41st year, the annual event helps pay for the operating costs of the 3,000 square foot Ukrainian Museum and Village - devoted to the 100-year plus historical record of local Ukrainian Churches, graced with displays of traditional costumes, farm and household implements, as well as other artifacts related to the history of Ukrainian settlement in Canada.

The Legend of the Rusalka

In 2003, Rusalka celebrated 40 years of storytelling through dance. Now they have told us the most important story to date: their story, the legend behind their namesake, the legend that is Rusalka. Hoosli was very honoured to once again have shared the stage with the renowned Rusalka Ukrainian Dance Ensemble, as part of their World Premiere of The Legened of the Rusalka.

Canada's National Ukrainian Fesitval

2005 marks the 40th anniversary of Canada's National Ukrainian Festival, a three day celebration of the rich and vibrant culture and heritage of Ukraine. Along with many cultural displays, demonstrations and workshops, zabavas (parties!), a heritage village and memorial park, amateur talent dance competitions, pavilions and scrumptious food vendors, plus much, much more; the festival boasts first-class Ukrainian talent from around the world at four grandstand extravaganzas that are sure to set your pulse racing. Hoosli was proud to perform once again this year.



February 2005
Troyanda 25th Anniversary Concert

The year 2005 marks the 25th anniversary of the Troyanda Ukrainian Dance Ensemble. Hoosli joined in their celebration of this event on February 6th for a concert at Winnipeg's Centennial Concert Hall, providing live music for a Zap scene. Other guests included Canada's Royal Winnipeg Ballet and the Rozmai Ukrainian Dance Troupe.



October 2004
Hoosli 35th Anniversary Cabaret

The year 2004 marked the 35th anniversary of Hoosli Ukrainian Folk Ensemble. We celebrated this event on October 23rd with a Cabaret dinner at the Masonic Memorial Temple. The evening included dinner and performances by Hoosli and friends. The evening was capped off with a Zabava to the music of Shoom. Those in attendance renewed acquaintances and celebrated with other individuals who have contributed to the strength, success, and longevity of Hoosli.
